The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day walk is not your everyday walk in the park. It is an event that requires one to walk 20 miles each day which, at a pace of about 3 miles an hour, will take about 8 hour (giving apporximately an hour for pit stops and lunch).
A walk like that isn't something one can do on a whim. Getting ready for this even requires miles and miles of training walks. And not just on a treadmill. In order to be ready for walking 60 miles on city streets, one must train on city streets. Below, is a chart of planned training distances, to give you an idea of what we will be doing. Furhter down, you can also read our journals about training and fundraising.
